## Product

Fluen Studio is the core web application at https://studio.fluen.ai. Users upload video or audio files and the platform generates subtitles using a multi-engine AI stack (OpenAI, Deepgram, AssemblyAI, DeepL, Anthropic). A proprietary segmentation engine then transforms raw transcription into natural, well-timed subtitle cues — with proper punctuation, capitalization, line breaks, and reading-speed constraints.

- Speaker recognition with named, editable labels rendered as [Speaker Name] in the cue text (also supports classic dash markers or no markers); speakers are color-coded in the editor for quick rename and reassignment

- Browser-based subtitle editor with waveform timeline and synced video preview
- Caption styling: fonts, colors, positioning, background plates
- Export formats: SRT, VTT, TTML, SBV, ITT, EBU STL, SSA, burned-in MP4 (4K/1080p/720p), plus .txt/.docx/.pdf transcripts
- SRT import (Premium): during caption review, replace the auto-generated captions with your own SRT file, then translate (the source video is still required; there is no SRT-only workflow)

- Shared workspaces with roles, permissions, and share links
- Comments and review (all plans): comment on an individual subtitle or the whole track, reply, resolve; comments stay anchored to the right subtitle across retiming, splitting and layout reprocessing. The editor's Comments panel is always present on a Team workspace; on Free and Premium it appears once a share link is set to Can comment, or once a comment exists on the track. Share links have three modes (Off / Can view / Can comment), so clients can leave notes without an account. Comment emails are batched into one digest per burst rather than one per note
- Review and approval workflow (Team): send a track for review, one named reviewer per language, each with their own private 7-day link and no account required. Reviewers comment, propose replacement wording the owner applies with one click, and Approve or Request changes. Approval is per language; editing content after approval marks it stale and asks for re-approval (style-only edits do not). Team plans also add internal notes, visible only to workspace members
- Zapier integration: the Fluen app is listed publicly in Zapier's app directory (https://zapier.com/apps/fluen/integrations), connecting Fluen to 9,000+ apps with no code. Available on every plan
- Outbound webhooks (REST Hooks, signed with HMAC-SHA256) for media.ready, caption.completed, translation.completed, burnin.completed, comment.created, track.approved and track.changes_requested, each with matching failure events
- Adobe Premiere Pro plugin (free on Adobe Exchange): create captions from sequence audio or translate any existing caption track (made with Fluen, Premiere's own tool, or imported) without leaving the edit; grammar-aware segmentation, custom line-length rules, captions adapted to the video's aspect ratio, translations re-timed automatically for a comfortable reading speed, glossary support, and re-editing in the Fluen web editor, beyond what the built-in caption tools offer
- REST API for programmatic access. Every plan, including Free, can create API keys and use the full API surface and webhooks; free accounts are limited in the number of jobs they can run
