Names and Jargon, Captured Right.

Tell Fluen how "Dr. Müller", "EBITDA", or your product name should appear in captions and translations. Build it once, apply it everywhere.

How It Works

Tell Fluen What You Mean. Once.

Add a glossary entry for any term: a brand name, an acronym, a person's name, a technical word. The AI applies your entries during transcription, translation, or both. Spelling stays exactly the way you said it should, every time.

Set an entry once and forget about it. Every new file uploaded to that workspace inherits the glossary automatically.

One Term, Every Language

Heard right. Translated right.

Each row pairs the same term across the languages you use. Once in place, the glossary works two ways.

Sharper recognition

Source-language entries sharpen the speech engine for that language, so "Kubernetes" stays "Kubernetes" instead of becoming "Cooper Netties".

Captions match the source

Preferred translations

Pair the same entry across languages and the translator uses the version you want for that source-to-target pair, instead of picking from defaults.

Bulk Import

Hundreds of Terms? Drop In a CSV.

Upload a CSV with one column per language and Fluen imports the lot in one pass, deduplicating as it goes. Single-column CSVs work too if you only have a source-language list.

Built for localization teams migrating from existing terminology databases, or anyone with a brand-name spreadsheet they want enforced across captions and translations.

Spotted Something? Add It Right There.

During the upload flow, a quick-add panel lets you append glossary entries to the active workspace without leaving the page.

The entry takes effect immediately for that file's transcription and translations, and for any others uploaded after. No context switch, no return trip to settings.

When It Helps

When the glossary saves the day.

Fluen's speech-recognition engines hit very high accuracy on everyday language. They can still slip on domain jargon, foreign names, and brand spellings, and translation engines may pick a different version than the one you'd choose. The glossary handles those moments.

Foreign or complex names

First and last names trip the engine more than anything else, especially when they don't follow English phonetics. Add them once, the right spelling shows up every time the name is said.

Brand names & jargon

Mixed-case product names, acronyms, and specialist vocabulary that a general-purpose engine would normalize or mishear. The glossary preserves the spelling you actually use.

Cooper Netties

Preferred translations

When the translator has multiple valid options, the glossary tells it which one you want for that source-to-target pair, so terminology stays consistent across every language.
