Whatever caption style you pick in the editor is what ends up in the MP4: one of the 18 static styles, or one of the 14 animated styles that highlight, underline or reveal each word as it is spoken. The one exception for now: frosted "blur behind" plates aren't in burned-in exports yet.
Captions scale with the frame, so a widescreen master and a vertical Reel each get balanced subtitles. On vertical videos they sit in the social-media safe zone, clear of the buttons TikTok, Shorts and Reels draw over the picture. Prefer the bottom edge? Turn on Always at the bottom in Workspace Settings > Caption styles.
